1) H.K. Eggerton, a black man whom used to be the president of the Ashville chapter of the NAACP, was attacked by two black men because he was waving a Confederate flag and telling people about his Southern Heritage.

2) On January 14, 1995, while driving with his wife, Micheal Westerman, a white man, was chased down and murdered by two black youths because he had a Confederate flag mounted to the back of his truck.

3) In Columbia, S.C. a Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp adjutant was chased down and beaten in his own driveway by a black man because he had a Confederate tag on his car.

4) In Mississippi Anthony Hervey, a black man who is a member of the S.C.V. was shot at from a car while checking the mail in his PO Box.

5) A statue of a Confederate soldier at Cedar Grove Cemetery in New Bern, N.C. was vandalized. ( The statue's head had been knocked off.)

6) A Confederate flag mural that had been painted on the wall of a GA. high school was defaced. (Since the event a vote was taken by the students and the flag was repainted on the wall.)

7) In Covington, GA, three flagpoles were torn down at The Georgia Confederate Cemetery

8) In Richmond, VA, the waterfront mural of Robert E. Lee was fire bombed by vandals.

9) The Nathan Bedford Forrest monument in Memphis, Tennessee had graffiti sprayed on it.

10) In Louisiana, Chuck Rand a recruiting officer for the LA Division of the S.C.V. was threatened by a KKK member because he did not allow KKK members to join the S.C.V. (Rand stated that the S.C.V. is a Heritage organization not a hate group.)

(11) In March 4, 2000, in Columbia, Maryland S.C.V. Member Brian Green had the Confederate Naval Jack, on the flagpole in his front yard, torn down and burned.

12) On August 17, 1995, at an Evansville, Indiana youth center, a car load of black men entered the center's parking lot asking 'Who owned the truck with the Confederate flags on it?' Jeremy Mabis, a 19 year old white man stepped forward and asked them to leave, then two of the black youths emerged from the car, one of them armed with a  9mm semi-automatic hand gun and fired at Mabis wounding him in the neck and hand.

13) The monument dedicated to Nathan Bedford Forrest in Selma, has been vandalized numerous times.

14) In Birmingham, Alabama the Confederate Monument had paint on it.

15) Also in Birmingham, Alabama, Crosses of Honor were stolen Confederate Veteran's graves in Elmwood Cemetery

16) In Fairfield, Alabama, a member of the Fighting Joe Wheeler Camp was threatened because he had a S.C.V. Logo on his car. (The S.C.V. Logo features a Confederate Flag surrounded by the organization's name and the year it was formed.)

17) In April of 1997, at the Cobb County Home Depot, Joel Coleman had his almost new Dodge truck keyed on both sides. At the time of the attack, he had two Confederate flag stickers on his truck one on the windshield and another on the rear bumper. The vandals left a full page, hand written hate letter under the windshield wiper. The letter stated:

"Some people are under the mistaken impression that the Confederate symbol on the GA flag has been there for a long time, and that it has something to do with their heritage. It has nothing to do with your heritage unless your heritage is racism. It was put on the flag in the 50's to protest Civil Rights. It means; "The South Shall Rise Again", and that " Georgia doesn't want to be part of the Union." It is absolutely nothing more than state funded, racial intimidation. I believe most Georgians do want to be part of the US. If not, there are planes leaving everyday. The courts have not given us justice. It is time to let them know that there is a price to pay for state funded racial intimidation and we must make that price high. If you see a car with that Racist, Nazi, KKK symbol known as the Confederate flag, you key that car, or break the antenna, or better yet pop a tire, or break a window. Throw stones at State owned vehicles... a Confederate patch on their jacket ... beat'em down. Tell friends in other states to boycott GA products. GA didn't get out of the Union, but certainly is the most Un-American, racist state! "Give me liberty or give me death." Make 100 copies, and distribute! You hate me. So I hate you. (Change or war?)"
