There is an international anit-slavery movement going on in the world today. More than 27,000,000 slaves exist in the world today. This is more than ever in history.
In my association with the Sons of Confederate Veterans and working on the Heritage TV network, it has come to my attention that much of what I thought to be true about the South and my Southern Heritage was untrue. The source of these lies lay in a group of people who don't like the South.
The Southern United States has always had an energetic, out going people who have played a major part in all American wars from the American Revolution to date. They are know world wide for their good food, good music and good manners. To allow the media to continue to support the anit-Southern position that the South was purely racist is to ignore certain facts. Was there racism in Africa during that time? North during that time? Was there racism in South America during that time? How about other parts of the world?
For the Anti-Southern agitators to stand on solid ground, they would have to oppose slavery in the world today. If not, they debunk themselves by revealing they are mean-spirited and uncaring as any slaver ever was in eating chocolate and buying rugs from slaver nations today. Sincerity should breed consistency.
